SPARC is known for its support for and development of public murals throughout Los Angeles, plus its programs benefiting local artists and youth in the community.
This legendary art center has hosted numerous art exhibits in the building that was formerly the Venice Police Station. The original jail cell still stands and has been converted
into a store with wonderful handmade art items for sale.
Make sure to see the current exhibit in the gallery space, "Resisting Loss...Weaving Traditions" by Oaxacan artist Pantelon Ruiz Martinez and network
