New Whole Foods at Rose and Lincoln

Michael Besancon, Whole Foods Markets’ President of the Southern Pacific Region, will announce to the Venice community his company’s plans to open a new store in Venice at the upcoming Venice Neighborhood Council Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 17th, at 7pm. The meeting will be held at Westminster Elementary School (auditorium), 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd (parking from Westminster Blvd).

Rumors and conflicting reports have surrounded Whole Foods’ plans for the location at Rose Ave. and Lincoln Blvd. (on the property currently housing a Big Lots and CVS Pharmacy) and many Venice stakeholders have taken note. Mr. Besancon will provide concrete information and place his company’s plan solidly in front of the community.

A representative of Whole Foods Markets will address the company’s plans for a new market at greater length at a subsequent Venice Neighborhood Council Land Use and Planning Committee meeting.

NOTE: The VNC Board meeting will be held on Wednesday and NOT Tuesday (the established meeting day) due to scheduling conflicts. The VNC Board will return to having it’s regularly scheduled Board meeting on the third Tuesday of the month in November.
