Greetings!

The mission of the Venice Neighborhood Council is to
improve the quality of life in Venice by building
community and securing support from the City of Los
Angeles for the resources needed to achieve our goals.

Please get involved in our community by joining your
neighbors at a VNC meeting. All are welcome.

The next VNC Board of Officers meeting will take
place on November 21st at 7pm at Westminster
Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd. Please
come and


Tuesday's agenda includes the following items:

  • Selection of Land Use and Planning Committee by
    Board
  • Selection of Neighborhood Committee Members by
    Board
  • Fill vacant Board seats.




Applications are due for stakeholders wishing to
serve on the Land Use and Planning Committee (LUPC)
or the new Neighborhood Committee of the Venice
Neighborhood Council. Members of these two important
committees will be appointed at the November VNC
Board meeting. Stakeholders wishing to serve on one
of these two committees should fill out an
application to officially indicate their interest
and to help the Board make the best choices possible.


Copies of the applications are available at the
Venice Library and also online at: grvnc.org/Apply
Completed applications must be returned to the
Secretary of the VNC no later then 9 pm on November
16 th, 2006. Applications may be returned either by
email to secretary@grvnc.org
, by fax to 651-331-5515 or by mail to: Venice
Neighborhood Council, PO Box 550, Venice, CA 90294 .




If you have already sent in your application, please
check the link to confirm that the Secretary has
received your application. If you have faxed in the
last 10 days, please refax your application so that
we will have a digital copy.



If you fill out and submit the City link below, you
should hear soon from graffitti removal company
contracted to Venice. Please send to all your
neighbors and friends in Venice to help in the
needed effort to paint it out right away. You can
have it removed from sidewalks, fences, posts, trash
containers. Let me know how fast the service works.


You can also dial 311 for grafitti removal and many
other non-emergency city services such as bulky item
pickups.



There will be a WEST END Design Presentation and
Project Update Meeting regarding the Exposition
Light Rail Line project. The purpose of the meeting
is to highlight key design elements and receive
community input.
