Greetings!

The mission of the Venice Neighborhood Council is to
improve the quality of life in Venice by building
community and securing support from the City of Los
Angeles for the resources needed to achieve our goals.

Please get involved in our community by joining your
neighbors at a VNC meeting. All are welcome.

Thank you candidates, election volunteers and
stakeholders for making the 2006 VNC election a big
success. Election results were finalized on
September 28th and new Board officers will be seated
30 days later, on or about the end of October.


Under the VNC Bylaws specific tasks must take place
in the first 30 days after seating of the new board.
The new board must choose Board Members to serve on
the Administrative Committee and select stakeholders
to serve on the Land Use and Planning and the
Neighborhoods Committees.

Procedures for selection of stakeholders for the
latter two committees will be discussed at the
inagural meeting in late October and final
procedures will be distributed to the community in
advance of a November meeting in which selections
will be made.

The Land Use and Planning Committee has two meetings
planned for October. One October 4 and
