Subject: Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness Meeting in Venice

Dear Friends,
Our city is plagued by the problem of homelessness. We must do all we can to address this pressing social and moral crisis. Last October, Councilmember Perry and I called for the formation of a special council panel, the Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness, to focus more energy and
attention to the issue of homelessness.

In March, the City's Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness held its first meeting. Since its inception, the committee has proved to be an effective tool in our city's fight against homelessness.

Please join me, along with my colleagues Councilmember Perry and Garcetti, for the City's Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness meeting to be held in Venice, Thursday, October 26 at 6PM.

This meeting will address the issue of homelessness on the Westside, specifically the 11th district. I encourage you to attend this very
important meeting.
