Call for volunteers to schedule for a meeting with the N C Outreach Committee to resolve the question of how to handle listings, presentations and endorsements.

Outreach liaison with the Arts in Santa Monica - Discussion of “Glow” and potential relevance to Venice

FILM, MEDIA AND MUSIC (Michael Vann, Mark Farina, & Stephen Fiske)

Autumn exhibition of paintings done at the Art Wall during Venice Fest and space available for October exhibition

THEATRE DANCE LITERATURE AND STUDENT ARTS (Tania Getty, Nadine Parkos, Marilyn Fox, Liz Koravos, Mark Blankenship, & Jonathan Zeichner & Eric Vollmer(*))

Report on the forthcoming Venice Barbecue

Report on The Pacific Resident Theatre 4 week course for young adults in conjunction with the Venice Public Library, performance, and Hamlet screening

Discussion of possible Arts/Education Town Hall during Winter or Spring

ARTS ARCHIVES AND PROJECTS (Theo von Hoffmann, Arnold Springer, Todd von Hoffmann, & Daniel Samakow)

Discussion of Heritage museum and Venice Historical Society and possible October exhibition / event

Potential arts funding relative to the percentage for art paid by developers - Quimby and Venice Surplus Funds

Update on non-violence sculpture and Venice Peace Park

Space possibly available for sculpture pad available in Oxford Park

6. NEW BUSINESS (approximately 7pm)

Endorsement request;

The Neighborhood Council has asked that we, together with the Oceanfront Walk Committee, review a proposal for a series of Venice Beach concerts to be organized by Micky Schuman, and schedule a combined public meeting of the two committees in order to be consider our recommendation to the Board of Officers of the NC. Though neither the specifics nor the merits of this concert proposal will be open for discussion at this meeting, we will address:

Date, Location, Operating structure, and agenda for a joint meeting with the Oceanfront Walk Committee

Venice self-determination regarding Oceanfront Walk and Venice Beach events
