The Neighborhood Committee of the VNC meets on the first Monday of each month. Our main focus for the year is to systematically organize Venice, neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block, house by house to prepare for any emergency. Are you Prepared? Please help organize YOUR block!

This Sunday July 20th, Triple T productions presents the third annual Venice Custom Bicycle and Skateboarding event at Windward Plaza on Venice Beach. "The Triple" is a culturally diverse event focusing on the arts and creativity of the young and young at heart. It is tailored to the lifestyle Venice Beach California.

The event starts at 10:30am and will end as 6:30pm. Come out and support.

The Outreach Committee will hold its monthly meeting July 22, 2008 from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at Extra Space Storage, 658 Venice Blvd, Venice, CA 90291

On Saturday August 2 the Young Adult Theatre Program will present a teaser performance of "Actors At Play" at the Venice Community Barbecue at Oakwood Park. The presentation will begin at 2pm. A complete performance of "Actors At Play" will begin at Pacific Resident Theatre, 705 1/2 Venice Boulevard, 3 blocks west of Lincoln, at 6pm. The NHC of the VNC meets normally on the first Monday morning each month at 8:30 a.m.

The topics include Emergency preparedness for Venice-organizing block by block to prepare to participate in "The Big LA Shake Out" on 11/13- earthquate drill. Please sign up to "map" your block. Come to the meeting for more information.
