Todd Von Hoffman writes:
The WPA Biberman mural inside the Venice Post Office will receive a long-overdue dedication today at 10am. Brad Kay (backed by a choir) will be performing "Venice O Venice", his anthem composed just for the occasion. Please see attached program.
This was organized by Betsy Goldman, Stephen Pouliot and Paul Tanck who recently completed a great new calendar featuring Venice murals.

Sorry for late notice - there was no announcement sent out except for a small reference in The Argonaut. How do coordinate a One-Stop-Shop event calendar for Venice? It's maddening that things like this slip by unnoticed.

You are invited to attend a community meeting on the Grand Canal Restoration Project on Wednesday, December 5 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Council District 11 Westchester Field Office, 7166 W. Manchester Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045
The City of LA proposes to restore the Grand Canal between Washington Boulevard and Ballona Lagoon (just south of Hurricane Street - a total length of about 2,000 feet) with the purpose of improving the natural habitat value of the water and lands of the canal while providing appropriate flood protection, tidal flushing and public access. To reach this goal, the City desires to develop a Master Plan for restoration and long term maintenance.
