Ray Hotel West LA Area Planning Commission Hearing

The Ray Hotel application will be heard by the West Los Angeles Area Planning Commission on Wednesday, August 1. The hearing calendar begins at 4:30, but the agenda is not yet available. Mr. Tokunaga said that his report will be issued about a week before the APC hearing.

The merchants of Abbot Kinney and the Venice Neighborhood Council are proud to announce the inaugural "1st Fridays on Abbot Kinney" event. Beginning on June 1, 2007, and continuing on the 1st Friday of every month through November, participating Abbot Kinney businesses will be open until 10pm. The late summer nights will feature Abbot Kinney's typical fabulous finds with the added addition of each merchant's respective Venetian desires; drinks, snacks, entertainment, discounts and specials.

The "24th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2007. We cordially invite you and your community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2007 team.

Last year's National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 34 million people participated in NNO 2006.
