6th Annual Venice Architectural Tours

The Architectural Tours offer a rare glimpse into unique environments and are only available to Sponsors of the Venice Garden and Home Tour. However, if all tour slots are not pre-sold to sponsors, individual tickets will be made available for sale. Homes are chosen to reflect the colorful history and future of this oceanside mecca of creativity. All tours are by guided coach and include lunch.

Again, we are fast approaching that day, when we enlist Venice area residents and business interests in an attempt to bring to bear, the importance of being prepared to handle the adversity presented by disaster (brought on by nature or terrorist threat).

The fourth Annual Venice Area Disaster Preparedness EXPO is planned for Saturday, April 28, 2007, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To give this event the impact that is necessary to move a community to a position of preparedness, we have assigned a theme:

Dr. Lucy Jones is a seismologist with the U.S. Geological Survey and
Scientist-in-Charge of the USGS's Earthquake Program in southern
California. Dr. Jones, who has become famous for her lively TV guest
appearances whenever the Southern California earth trembles, will
speak on "Earthquakes: Shift Happens - Dare to Prepa Prepare" re" re", living with
earthquakes in southern California.
