Deputy Mayor Ray Cortines and Marshall Tuck from the Mayor's Office of Education, Youth and Families will brief stakeholders on the plan and then answer questions from audience members. This is a great opportunity to engage in an in-depth discussion of the crucial issue of education and how the Mayor proposes to improve the educational opportunities open to our City's students.

As the appointed Oakwood-Milwood Neighborhood representative, i have scheduled a general meeting for February 12, 6:00, at the Oakwood Recreation Center. There will be no set agenda so as to be informal. I will do breakout groups if there are enough people on the various possible topics in order to get a broader response to what the issues and concerns are for the neighborhood. I will be asking for ideas on projects, programs and services that would better serve the community.

I will be making and posting flyers.
