Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council Announcement

The results of the June 27 Grass Roots Venice 
Candidate Election have been invalidated by the 
official election arbiter. 

The City of LA Human Relations Commission, which had
been selected as the arbiter by the LA Department of 
Neighborhood Empowerment (with the concurrence 
of the GRVNC board), found that the holding of a 
referendum election at the same time and 
place as the candidate election invalidated the
candidate election.

The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment was
empowered by the Board ratified election procedures
which designate them as the party responsible for 
resolving any election challenges.

More information will be forthcoming as soon as it 
becomes available to me.
