Committee Mission Supporting Statement:

Acting as a committee of the Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council (GRVNC), identify the current situation of poverty and homelessness in Venice to insure the basic human rights of all members of the Venice community. Furthermore, we will work to network with the GRVNC, the Venice community, and other organizations with similar missions.

Agenda Items:

· Update on 24-Hour access to existing public toilets

· Update from people making an informational flyer for

· Reporting and documenting tickets/72-hour notices

· Making incident reports on harassment/vigilante actions

· Idea for next project

o Work to create Los Angeles ordinance based on Eugene, Oregon ordinance meant to designate areas for homeless living in vehicles

· Future Meetings

· Public Comment

Meeting participation should be motivated by principles of basic Human Rights and Civil Rights.
