Boardwalk Committee Mission Supporting Statement: Acting as a committee of the Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council (GRVNC) to retain the unique character and diversity of the boardwalk that has made it a world famous free speech zone, artist and performance mecca. To represent all the people in Venice, empowering them so that everyone’s voice is heard whether they are business owners, residents, activists, homeowners or are physically here whether they are housed or not. Identify the current situation of the boardwalk and find solutions to any problems. Participation to be motivated by principles of basic Human Rights and Civil Rights.

NOT on agenda. 1 minute per person is guaranteed. 60 minutes total time.

Committee Officials. We
welcome everyone who is involved in our community to be on the committee. As
soon as each person has attended 3 consecutive meetings,
they may request official recognition as committee officials, by signing up.
Committee officials are recognized for purposes of forming a quorum and making
motions. Every person in attendance is entitled to vote, whether they are
committee members or not. All decisions should strive to satisfy every person
in our community.

Approve Volunteer Peace Keepers, Responsibilities and How to Enforce Policies.

Approve How Many No Commercial Vending Signs per Los Angeles Municipal Code
42.15 – to be Posted or Painted in Plain View of Vendors and Performers.
