Tentative Agenda for Next Meeting:

·         Approve Agenda

·         Introductions and Public Comment – 1 hour. Each person is guaranteed 1 minute to speak.

·         Brainstorm and Motion to Approve Boardwalk Committee Mission Supporting Statement. Suggested Statements Are: To retain the unique character and diversity of the boardwalk that has made it a world famous free speech zone, artist and performance mecca. To represent all the people in Venice, empowering them so that everyone’s voice is heard whether they are business owners, residents, activists, homeowners or are physically here whether they are housed or not. Identify the current situation of the boardwalk and find solutions to any problems. Participation to be motivated by principles of basic Human Rights and Civil Rights.

·         Committee Officials

·         Possible Motion on Mediator Volunteers, Responsibilities and How to Enforce Boardwalk Policies.

·         Possible Motion on No Commercial Vending Signs per Los Angeles Municipal Code 42.15 – to be Posted or Painted in Plain View of Vendors and Performers.

·         Opening Discussion Sonny Zorro Park Name – The Sonny Zorro Park name got more votes at the Feb. 26 Town Hall Meeting. But Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council now says the vote count is irrelevant. Is this because Sonny Zorro was homeless? What is wrong with being homeless? What should we do about it?
